The Colorado excerpt is even more frightening if one considers the ‘national security force’ component. On the one hand, military service etc. isn’t just a version of the draft (the last decade of which in e.g. the Netherlands meant wasting 14 months of your life watching porn and doing pot) but has a ‘real’ purpose: to increase national security. More surveillance of US citizens. Das Leben der Anderen. With the plans to keep ‘Team Obama’ around after the elections (at best: a permanent propaganda machine), the ‘neighbourhood councils’ of communistic regimes seem to be a real possibility in Obama-land. And when did a campaign ever invent an abstaract symbol, if not in campaigns of unsavory parties?
